# Add a list of items

In Claimfrog, **Add a list** is the quickest way to get everything down when you don't need photos yet: books, clothing, kitchenware, or a list you already keep somewhere else. You can add photos to the important items later.

## Steps

1. Open **Items**. Click the arrow next to **Add Item** and choose **Add a list**.
2. Choose the **room** first. Optionally pick a **Default category**.
3. Type an item name and press **Enter** for a new row. Open **Brand and model** on a row to add more detail.
4. To paste, click **Paste a list**. One item per line. Bullets, numbers, "2x Lamp - $40" and rows copied from a spreadsheet all work. Click **Use these** to turn them into rows.
5. Optionally use **Apply to all** to give every item the same purchase details.
6. Click **Save**, or **Save & next room** to keep going room by room.

## Good to know

- **Possible duplicates** are marked on the row. Click **Skip** to leave it out or **Add anyway** to keep it.
- If some rows fail to save, they stay in the list so you can try again.
