Room capture is the fastest way to build a Claimfrog inventory. Instead of adding items one by one, you photograph a room (or film a walkthrough) and review the list AI builds for you. Nothing is saved until you approve it.

## Steps

1. Open **Items**. Click the arrow next to **Add Item** and choose **Capture a room (photos)** or **Capture a room (video)**.
2. Capture the room:
   - **Photos:** take a photo of each wall or area. Up to 20 photos.
   - **Video:** walk slowly around the room, pausing on valuable items. Keep it under 90 seconds and 50 MB (MP4, MOV or WebM).
3. Click **Analyze photos** or **Analyze video**. A video can take up to a minute.
4. Review the list:
   - Check each name, quantity and value. Untick anything you don't want to add.
   - Every row needs a **name**, **category** and **room**. Use **Room for all** to set the room in one go.
   - Items that look like they are already in your inventory, or that appear in more than one photo, are unticked for you. Tick them again with **Add anyway** if they are separate items.
5. Add the selected items. Your room photos (or video frames) are saved with the items as original evidence.

## Tips for a good capture

- Good light makes a big difference. Open curtains and turn lights on.
- Get closer to small or valuable things: jewelry, cameras, tools.
- Open closets and cabinets and capture the contents too.
- Afterwards, add close-up photos and serial numbers to your most valuable items. Room shots prove you owned them; close-ups prove what exactly they were.

## Troubleshooting

- **"No items were found."** Try closer, well-lit photos.
- **Some photos were skipped.** If a few photos can't be analyzed, the rest still go through. Retake the skipped ones.
- **Video is too long or too large.** Trim it under 90 seconds, or split the room into two captures.
