A CSV export gives you every item and every field in a spreadsheet: a handy backup, and an easy way to share your list with someone who doesn't use Claimfrog.

## Export everything

1. Open **Items** and clear any search or filters.
2. Click **More** and choose **Inventory Report**.
3. Click **Download as CSV File**.

## Export some items

1. On **Items**, select the items you want (or filter, then **Select all matching items**).
2. Click **Export CSV** in the selection bar.

## What's in the file

One row per item with stable English column headers, including name, category, room, quantity, the value of one unit and the total value, brand, model, serial number, UPC, purchase details, description and tags. The file is saved as UTF-8, so accents and currency symbols open correctly in Excel.

## Good to know

- A file exported from Claimfrog can be [imported](https://www.claimfrog.com/help/import-a-spreadsheet) back with every column matched automatically, which makes it easy to move items between properties.
- Photos and receipts aren't in the CSV. To share those, use the [claim package](https://www.claimfrog.com/help/claim-package-pdf) or a [read-only link](https://www.claimfrog.com/help/share-a-read-only-link).
