Your data, privacy and security
Where your inventory is stored, who can see it, how AI features use your photos, and how to take your data with you.
Your inventory is a list of everything valuable you own and where it is. We treat it that way.
Where your data lives
Claimfrog runs on Google Cloud (Firebase), whose infrastructure is independently certified to ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3. Your data is stored in the United States and encrypted in transit and at rest. Because it's in the cloud, your inventory survives even if your home, phone and computer don't.
Who can see it
- Only you, plus the people you invite to a property, in the role you give them.
- Someone you send a read-only link to, until it expires or you revoke it.
Access rules are enforced on our servers, not just in the app, and only the genuine Claimfrog app can reach your files.
How AI features use your data
Some optional features use Google's Gemini AI. We send only what the feature needs: the photo you're working on, the video you upload, or an item's name, brand and model for a value estimate. We don't send your name, email or account details with these requests. Uploaded walkthrough videos are deleted once they've been processed.
Photos can show personal details, so avoid capturing documents or people you don't want processed.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We never share your inventory with anyone for their own marketing.
- We never see your full card number. Payments go directly to Stripe.
Your data is yours
- Export everything to CSV at any time, on any plan.
- Delete your account and everything in it whenever you want.
