Add receipts and serial numbers

Photos prove you owned something. Receipts prove what you paid and when, and serial numbers prove which exact unit was yours. Claimfrog keeps both with the item. They strengthen claims on high-value items and help police identify stolen property.

Add a receipt

1. Open the item and click More details.
2. Under Receipt, click Upload Receipt and choose a photo or PDF of the receipt or invoice.
3. Click Save.

Fill in the Original Purchase Price, Date of Purchase and Place of Purchase too. The purchase date is what ACV estimates use to work out wear.

Add a serial number

1. Find the label, usually on the back or bottom of the item.
2. Open the item, click More details and type it into Serial / SKU.
3. Add a close-up photo of the label and tag it as Serial label.

Find what's missing

On the Items page, the Missing receipt and Missing serial number filters list the items to work on. Start with electronics and anything over a few hundred dollars.

Tip

Lost the receipt? Look in your email for order confirmations, or download order history from the store's website, and upload that instead.
